Southeast Texas Forenisic Center was incorporated in September 2003 for the purpose of turning Jefferson County Morgue into a private business. Jefferson County now exclusively contracts with our business for their forensic services. In addition, fourteen other counties in East Texas contract with Southeast Texas Forenisic Center, Inc (D.B.A. Jefferson County Morgue), for forensic services as well. Our new morgue facility in Conroe opened in January 2004 and currently serves Montgomery County as well as other surrounding counties. Also, our new morgue facility in Tyler opened in July 2004 and currently serves Smith County and other surrounding East Texas counties.
